About Meredith McCracken - Harpist
I am a professional harpist specialising in the field of weddings and special events.
Based in Worcestershire, I am also principal harpist with The Scottish Ballet Orchestra
My BA degree from the RSAMD in Glasgow is in Music Performance
On your wedding day the harp can accompany your marriage ceremony, add to the ambience while you enjoy drinks and photographs and /or provide a sophisticated backdrop to your wedding breakfast, afternoon tea or buffet
I choose not to play my valuable instrument outside, and instead offer the option, for your drinks reception, to sit by the open patio doors.
Using my amplifier, guests both indoors and out can enjoy my music

As well as entertaining clients in a variety of settings, I love to arrange well known songs old and new for the harp so you'll find much of my playlist is unique.

Here is an outline to help you decide how to enjoy my harp music
Civil ceremony: (allow 1 hour)
Guests: Music for guests’ assembly in the ceremony room (15mins)
Bride: One song for the entrance of the bridal party
Register: 2 songs
Exit: One song as the newlyweds leave
Drinks reception: (allow 1 hour)
My music will add to the ambience while you enjoy drinks and photographs with your guests
Wedding Breakfast / Afternoon Tea / Buffet: (allow 2 hours)
Another option is to include music whilst you and your guests eat.
Making Memories
I love to see faces light up, when clients hear their favourite songs played in such an original way!
Many don't anticipate that such a wide range of music can be played on the harp.

For the drinks reception Meredith played a selection of beautiful interpretations of modern day songs.
The music suited our venue perfectly and sounded wonderful.
I couldn't help but pause half way through signing the register to take it all in.
Meredith stayed longer than booked in order to play right up until our guests were seated for the breakfast at no extra charge, and came over midway through to check that everything was OK.
