We're Here To Support You
Back in March we set up our Covid-19 Response Team; working from home this dedicated team have worked with hundreds of couples, across our venues, whose wedding plans were disrupted by the global pandemic.
There have been tears (both yours and ours) but there has also been hope and kindness. We would like to thank you again for your patience, your understanding and your compassion, throughout this devastating time for us all.
We are thankful that the Government have now recognised the importance of weddings and we are delighted to be working with a significant number of couples across our venues who are adapting their wedding plans to make their happily ever after happen later this year.
Let's Stay in Touch
The Covid-19 Response Team are available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and continue to make every effort to proactively contact couples. If we haven't contacted you recently, you are welcome to get in touch, we are here for you, please email your venue in the first instance and a member of our Response Team will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. Please forgive us if there is a slight delay, we have not forgotten you.
Please keep checking this web page for updates. You can find full details of our COVID-19 Response Policy below.
Wedding Planning During Lockdown
Our Event Managers have missed you so much!
They are now taking turns working, answering your wedding planning queries and offering their expertise and guidance on how to make the most of every second of your wedding day. It's amazing to be working with couples planning a small wedding in the coming weeks and our Event Managers are loving getting back to doing what they do best.
The Event Managers are still predominantly working from home with occasional days in the venue office, we're sorry that the phone lines are still not manned but we do pick up your voicemails and emails are responded to as promptly as possible.
There are no silly questions when it comes to planning a wedding, especially right now where couples are refocusing on what's important and adapting their plans.
We can now also offer midweek venue visits to booked couples wanting to get inspired or measure up for decorative ideas. Email your venue about booking a Covid Secure Viewing with an Event Manager.
It's easy to get your planning done from home too, if you haven't checked it out already, login to your Wedding Planner for top tips, specific dates for what needs doing when, supplier details and links to everything from your Venue Set Up Sheet, bunting plans and more.

Keeping You Safe
Covid-19 Response Policy
Since March, we have responded to the Government's announcements promptly and responsibly, always with the aim of giving couples whose booked date falls within 12 weeks of the next expected Government update, the opportunity to consider their options.
In response to the most recent news that small wedding receptions look set to happen from 15th August 2020, our Covid-19 Response Policy, offers options to couples whose booked date falls on or before 7th November 2020.
Eligible couples are welcome to get in touch with us, to chat through the 4 options available to you, detailed below.
Where possible, we'd like to know which is your preferred option no later than 6 weeks prior to your booked date. This is so that we can plan ahead, assign your Event Manger, plan venue deep-cleans and staffing levels etc.
Please do not hesitate to email your query in the first instance and we will respond as promptly as possible. The Response Team is available between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Option 1 - Get Married As Planned
At the full price agreed for your booked date.
It is expected that from 15th August 2020 you can get married on your booked date as planned; you can enjoy a beautiful ceremony either at church or at the venue, followed by a wedding reception.
We will work with you to make your day incredible, joyous and meaningful, whilst keeping within the relevant Government legislation or guidance in place at the time.
Currently, this means planning to enjoy your day with no more than 30 people and adapting your evening entertainment plans. We anticipate that the detailed Government Guidance for weddings will be published soon and we will update this information once we've had a chance to review it.
For now, we're working with couples looking to enjoy their day with a few creative twists and we'll give you as much information as we can about how we expect your day to flow, updating this webpage and your individual wedding day timings as more information becomes available from the Government.

What Can You Enjoy?
Your exclusive use of the venue on your wedding day doesn't change. Your suppliers are welcome from 10am and the Dressing Room onsite is available from 10:30am; your exclusive use starts from 11am.
The Registrars have confirmed that they are happy to conduct your ceremony at our venues and you should liaise with them directly about your ceremony, if you'd like to get married on your booked date.
Following your ceremony, your guests will be invited to take their seats for a table drinks service of your no-corkage drinks while you enjoy a stroll in the stunning grounds, getting some amazing photographs and we'll work with you and your photographer to manage social distancing throughout.
Your Wedding Breakfast
Together, we'll work out a fabulous seating plan for you and your guests in line with Government guidance and ensure the swift service of celebratory drinks to your table throughout your wedding breakfast and speeches.
You're welcome to work with our catering partners, Jenkinsons, on any embellishments or amendments to your wedding breakfast menu; a meal shared with loved ones on a day to remember, forever.
We'll supply a microphone for your speeches and your Event Manager will be on hand throughout your day to ensure everything runs smoothly.
We're working with couples right now who are blowing our minds with their amazing alternatives to a packed dance floor (dancing is not permitted under current Government guidance). They're planning to have fun, challenging tables to win the ultimate Wedding Quiz Night, they're hiring our Handpicked Magicians to astound and amaze guests and planning table games and comedy contests.
You can cut your cake and enjoy your First Dance together (guests remain seated), take a stroll in the gardens if it's a balmy evening. You'll be together, sharing a landmark event in your life with those you truly love.
Choose Option 1 and you can look forward to spending your first night as a married couple in your exclusive Wedding Night Suite.
Your guests are welcome to book overnight accommodation and are welcome to use the facilities in their room as soon as they have checked in. For your safety, our enhanced housekeeping regimen includes rigorous sanitisation, with particular attention being paid to regular touch points. click the button below for more information on how we're changing the way we operate to keep you and your guests safe.
You and your overnight guests can look forward to a 'takeaway' breakfast service the following morning.
Keeping You Safe
Option 2 - Daytime Only
A Civil Ceremony Only or
A Civil Ceremony with a Daytime Reception
At 50% of the price agreed for your booked date.
We can already hold your civil ceremony and it is expected that from 15th August 2020 we can welcome you for your ceremony and a small wedding reception.
We are happy to work with you to plan a beautiful and intimate day at your venue where you can choose to enjoy a civil ceremony only with no drinks service or catering, or your civil ceremony followed by a delicious wedding breakfast of your choice, with your no corkage drinks served throughout the meal right up until departure.
Whichever version of Option 2 you choose, it is priced at 50% of the total price agreed for your booked date. We will be as flexible as we can be and try to accommodate any specific requests you might have where we can, whilst following the relevant Government guidance in place on your wedding day.
How does this differ from Option 1?
You can enjoy much of the wedding day as described for Option 1, with a couple of key exceptions:
If you opt to enjoy your civil ceremony followed by a daytime reception then everything flows as per option 1, right up until 6pm when you and your guests will say your fond farewells and depart from the venue. We are happy to extend our service of your no corkage drinks from the moment you and your guests are seated at the wedding breakfast tables up to 6pm, negating the need for a bar service which will not be available.
If you opt for a ceremony only, then we won't serve any food or drinks (it is not possible for you to supply any refreshments) and most of your guests should depart shortly after the ceremony. Following a stroll of the grounds to capture some amazing photographs the Happy Couple will depart as newlyweds, around an hour or so later.
To make Option 2 viable, it is not possible for us to offer any overnight accommodation at the venue.
We know Option 1 and 2 won't be right for everyone; we know how hard it is to plan a wedding under normal circumstances. We share your heartache at how unfair it is that this awful pandemic has disrupted your beautiful plans. We share your frustration at the Government's inability to provide any clarity for the wedding sector, but we're here for you, fighting your cause and trying to do our very best for you.
If you are interested in considering Option 1 or Option 2, we'll work with you to flesh out a detailed plan for what your unique day could be. As Government guidance changes and restrictions ease, we'll talk to you about incorporating more into your day as this becomes a possibility.
Let's talk, let's stay positive and work together to find the right fit for you.

Option 3 - Postponement
Transfer your booking to a date in the future.
Couples with a date booked on or prior to 7th November 2020 can opt to postpone their wedding and transfer their booking to any available date up to 30th June 2024, at Foxtail Barns, The Ashes Barns, The Mill Barns or Pendrell Hall.
We are not charging any postponement fees and have waived our standard administration fee for moving your wedding date.
Our Response Team will work with you to explore available dates across our venues but please appreciate that this takes a little time as we approach this task as compassionately and fairly as possible. Once you have selected a new wedding date we will email a date change confirmation form which requires your electronic signature.
Upon receipt of the signed form we will email all guests who had booked accommodation at our venue for the night of your original wedding date and ask them if they would like a full refund or if they would like us to move their room booking to your new wedding date. We will endeavour to process each guest's individual request as soon as possible but apologise that our usual prompt response times for this are currently unachievable.
Our catering partners, Jenkinsons, will transfer any monies paid over to your new wedding date. Please understand that they may be unable to honour your catering quote dependent upon how far into the future your new wedding date is.
If you select a wedding date where the Venue Hire Price is less than your original date, we will refund you the difference within the 7 days following your new wedding date subject to accounting for any extras (such as drinks) which you have chosen to add to your account.
If you select a wedding date where the Venue Hire Price is more than your original date, you will need to pay the difference eight weeks prior to your new wedding date at the same time as making any final Venue Hire Payment.
Option 4 - Gift Voucher
Opt to receive a Gift Voucher for future use.
We understand that this is an incredibly uncertain and worrying time for everyone. You may want or need time to pause. We want to support you as much as we can, we understand that some of our couples may have much more pressing concerns at this troubling time.
Eligible couples can opt to receive a Gift Voucher for any monies paid to date. This Gift Voucher can be used to secure a wedding date at any Best Day Ever Venue (The Ashes Barns, Pendrell Hall, The Mill Barns and Foxtail Barns) for any available wedding date up to 30th June 2024.

The Gift Voucher can only be used by the named individuals on your current signed Booking Form.

If you opt to receive a Gift Voucher:
