Covid Secure Venue

We are a Covid Secure Venue, we will work with you to make your day incredible, joyous and meaningful, whilst adhering to the relevant Government legislation or guidance in place at the time.

We are working with couples looking to enjoy their day with a few creative twists; if you'd like to chat, please get in touch, we'll give you as much information as we can about how we expect your day to flow, updating this webpage and your individual wedding day timings, as restrictions ease over time.

What Can You Enjoy?

Your exclusive use of the venue on your wedding day doesn't change. Your suppliers are welcome from 10am and the Dressing Room onsite is available from 10:30am; your exclusive use starts from 11am.

The Registrars have confirmed that they are happy to conduct your ceremony at our Covid-19 Secure Venues and you should liaise with them directly about your ceremony, if you'd like to get married on your booked date.

Following your ceremony, your guests will be invited to take their seats for a table drinks service of your no-corkage drinks while you enjoy a stroll in the stunning grounds, getting some amazing photographs and we'll work with you and your photographer to manage social distancing throughout.

Your Wedding Breakfast

Together, we'll work out a fabulous seating plan for you and your guests in line with Government guidance and ensure the swift service of celebratory drinks to your table throughout your wedding breakfast and speeches.

You're welcome to work with our catering partners, Jenkinsons, on any embellishments or amendments to your wedding breakfast menu; a meal shared with loved ones on a day to remember, forever.

We'll supply a microphone for your speeches and your Event Manager will be on hand throughout your day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Togetherness

You can cut your cake and enjoy your First Dance together (guests remain seated), take a stroll in the gardens if it's a balmy evening. You'll be together, sharing a landmark event in your life with those you truly love.

We're working with couples right now who are blowing our minds with their amazing alternatives to a packed dance floor (dancing is not permitted under current Government guidance).

They're planning to have fun and enjoy every moment right up until the venue closes at 10pm in line with current restrictions, after which you and your guests can make your way to the overnight accommodation

Hit the button below for full details of some of the amazing ways to enjoy your evening.

Option 2 - Daytime Only

A Civil Ceremony with a Daytime Reception
At 50% of the price agreed for your booked date.

Please note that the details of this option are in line with the most recent guidance for weddings that were in place prior to the current national lockdown. We will continue to review and update the details of this option as new guidance is released and restrictions ease.

We’d love to work with you to plan a beautiful and intimate day at your venue where you can enjoy your civil ceremony followed by a delicious wedding breakfast of your choice, with your no corkage drinks served throughout the meal right up until departure.

This daytime option is priced at 50% of the total price agreed for your booked date. We will be as flexible as we can be and try to accommodate any specific requests you might have where we can, whilst following the relevant Government guidance in place on your wedding day.

Weddings for up to 15 people are exempt from the ‘Rule of 6’ making this one of the only ways you can enjoy getting together with your close family and loved ones. The 15 people allowed, includes the Happy Couple but does not include the registrars, your Event Manager, catering staff or any wedding suppliers. Please chat to us about how to make this option work for you.

As with Option 1 we will work with you to make this an incredible celebration, we’ll add our Love Letters for free and we’re not charging our normal fee for the long table setup. Jenkinsons are also adding a complimentary sorbet course to make your wedding breakfast even more memorable.

How does this differ from Option 1?

You can enjoy all of the wedding day as described for Option 1, with a couple of key exceptions:

When choosing to enjoy your civil ceremony followed by a daytime reception, everything flows as per option 1, right up until 6pm when you and your guests will say your fond farewells and depart from the venue.

We are happy to extend our service of your no corkage drinks from the moment you and your guests are seated at the wedding breakfast tables up to 6pm, negating the need for a bar service which will not be available.

To make Option 2 viable, it is not possible for us to offer any overnight accommodation at the venue (with the exception of the Lodge & Cottage at Pendrell Hall which can be booked for a maximum of 6 people, including children, per property, on a self-catering basis, subject to availability.)

Let's Talk

We know Option 1 and 2 won't be right for everyone; we know how hard it is to plan a wedding under normal circumstances. We share your heartache at how unfair it is that this awful pandemic has disrupted your beautiful plans. We share your frustration at the Government's inability to provide any clarity for the wedding sector, but we're here for you, fighting your cause and trying to do our very best for you.

If you are interested in considering Option 1 or Option 2, we'll work with you to flesh out a detailed plan for what your unique day could be. As Government guidance changes and restrictions ease, we'll talk to you about moving back up through the options to include more into your day as this becomes a possibility.

Let's talk, let's stay positive and work together to find the right fit for you.

Option 3 - Civil Ceremony Only

At 33% of the price agreed for your booked date.

Please note that the details of this option are in line with the most recent guidance for weddings that were in place prior to the current national lockdown. We will continue to review and update the details of this option as new guidance is released and restrictions ease.

We know so many of you desperately want to get married but may not want to compromise on your dreams of a big celebration.

You can choose to get married on your booked date and share an intimate and beautiful ceremony with your close family and loved ones for just 33% of the agreed price of your booked date.

We will repay any outstanding amount to you within 5 working days of your ceremony date.

We’re trying to offer as much flexibility as we can, this option let’s you enjoy a sacred right of passage with those closest to you. All the couples who have enjoyed a Ceremony Only at our venues have all said how amazing it was and have no regrets. Love is not cancelled.

How does this differ from Option 2?

Unlike option 2, this Ceremony Only option includes use of just the ceremony space. Your exclusive use of the venue begins 1 hour prior to your ceremony time, until 1 hour after your ceremony.

We recommend guests arrive around 30 minutes prior to the ceremony time, when they will be invited to take their seats in the ceremony space.

Following the ceremony, we are happy to work with you and your professional photographer to get a few socially distanced photographs before wishing you well upon your departure, no later than 1 hour after the ceremony.

No drinks or refreshments can be served at this ceremony only option. (If daytime receptions are allowed and you'd like to reintroduce a drinks reception and a wedding breakfast back into your day, it is no problem to revert back to Option 2.)

Prior to the current lockdown, no more than 15 people could attend the ceremony including the Happy Couple. Please note that this number does not include the registrars, your Event Manager, catering staff or any wedding suppliers.

Option 4 - Choose a Back Up Date

Couples with a date on or before 30th April 2021 can choose a back up date. We all hope that as the vaccine rolls out across the UK that restrictions will ease. We know you'll want to hold fast to your booked date in the hope that your wedding can take place and be the beautiful, extraordinary day you deserve.

We have everything crossed for your current booked date but we also understand that you might want to choose a back up date or postpone your wedding. We will work with you to discuss available dates, you can choose any available date up to 30th June 2024, at Foxtail Barns, The Ashes Barns, The Mill Barns or Pendrell Hall.

We are not charging any postponement fees and have waived our standard  administration fee for moving your wedding date.

Our Response Team will work with you to explore your options and if you definitely know that you want to postpone, we will get this actioned for you.

Upon confirmation of a postponement, we will email any guests who had booked accommodation at our venue for the night of your original wedding date and ask them if they would like a full refund or if they would like us to move their room booking to your new wedding date.

Our catering partners, Jenkinsons, will transfer any monies paid over to your new wedding date. Please understand that they may be unable to honour your catering quote dependent upon how far into the future your new wedding date is.

If you select a new wedding date where the Venue Hire Price is less than your original date, we will refund you the difference within the 7 days following your new wedding date subject to accounting for any extras (such as drinks) which you have chosen to add to your account.

If you select a wedding date where the Venue Hire Price is more than your original date, you will need to pay the difference eight weeks prior to your new wedding date at the same time as making any final Venue Hire Payment.

Option 5 - Gift Voucher

Opt to receive a Gift Voucher for future use.

We understand that this is an incredibly uncertain and worrying time for everyone. You may want or need time to pause. We want to support you as much as we can, we understand that some of our couples may have much more pressing concerns at this troubling time.
