Established in 1997, Romantic Piano is presented by Christopher Langdown MMus(RCM), GRSM(Hons), DipRCM(PfT), ARCM(PfP), ARCM(PG), FISM. Chris graduated with Distinction from the renowned Royal College of Music in London and has since performed for over 2,000 weddings and events. Acclaimed by the Press as a “world–class” musician, he has won several awards, broadcast on radio and TV internationally, performed at top concert halls and played for celebrities and the Royal Family.

Firstly, I hope my experience, music samples and reviews will speak for themselves and reassure you that you're making the right decision in considering my professional services for your big day. Of course, this will be one of the most memorable occasions in your lifetime and I would be so honoured and thrilled to be part of it!
I fell in love with music right from an early age and my aim is to go beyond simply entertaining you - I hope to inspire you, make you smile and perhaps even bring a tear to your eye at the appropriate moment. On a practical level, I'm able to set up 2 separate instruments (eg. my black baby grand piano + my smaller white digital piano) in different rooms for a smooth transition. I'm also very experienced at adapting music "on the fly" and my varied presentation will appeal to all your guests aged 8 to 80. Importantly, my music is always at just the right level thanks to my unique speaker set up...I must confess I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to detail!
Making Memories
As reflected by my business name, my hope is that you'll have a truly romantic wedding. I've taken this further by creating an optional illuminated heart decoration which can be fitted to my own (or indeed any) grand piano. I love the part where I put the names of the bride and groom inside - it's as if I'm helping to seal the bond of love and friendship between them. Perhaps you have a special request?
