About Robin & Sarah Gillespie Photographers
We’re Robin & Sarah, husband-and-wife wedding photographers based in the Midlands, near Birmingham.
Inspired by the people we meet and the moments we see, we create heartfelt documentary images along with gorgeous portraits of the two of you together.
We’ve been photographing weddings for more than a decade and in that time have carved out our own style. We’ve never worried about trends or tried to emulate what is ‘popular’. When it comes to deciding how to photograph a wedding, we’ve always gone with our hearts, with what felt right to us. Our wedding photographs are full of sincerity, feeling and relevance. It has to be real. It has to be honest. Most of our pictures are spontaneous – they’re inspired by the moments unfolding in front of us and the surroundings they take place in. It’s all about the light, the shade, the context and the emotions. No contrived situations and definitely no cheese.

Most of our weddings are photographed together – a husband-and-wife team. We have worked this way since we first started in 2007 and what we offer is really so much more than just an extra person taking photos.
We’re married so we know how each other works. We have a common vision, but we’re two distinct pairs of eyes and two minds, each with our own way of interpreting what we see. Sarah’s feminine viewpoint is often quite different to Robin’s, but our work gels together extremely well.
Because we’ve worked together so so long, we tend to instinctively know where each other will be and the kind of images they’ll get. Our pictures complement and enhance the each other’s and our unique blend of creativity is consistent throughout every wedding we’re commissioned for.
