For your Covid Secure Wedding
You can enjoy your wedding ceremony and wedding reception with 15 people at any of our wedding venues, whilst adhering to the relevant Government Guidance in place. We wanted to share some of the fantastic ways are couples are adapting their original plans to fit the guidance.
A Truly Memorable Occassion
To help you celebrate your special day in style, we are providing our rustic styled, illuminated ‘LOVE’ letters completely free of charge at your 2020 wedding. Please let your Event Manager know where you would like these placed on your amazing day.
Our incredible caterers Jenkinsons are helping to ensure your Wedding Breakfast is truly memorable by adding a delightfully refreshing sorbet course, completely free of charge. Served in between your starter and main course, this deliciously cold shock to the taste buds is sure to delight.
The minimum spend of £39.75 per person for a three course wedding breakfast, hasn't changed but your guest numbers have. With a smaller number of guests to cater for than originally planned, many of our couples are tweaking their menu choices and treating their wedding guests to a truly spectacular meal.
But what about after the meal? With dancing and mingling off the agenda for the time being, our couples have come up with some great ways to enjoy every second of the precious time spent with loved ones on this landmark day in your life.
Wedding receptions are restricted to a maximum of 15 people, this includes the Happy Couple but it does not include the registrars, your Event Manager, catering staff or any wedding suppliers.
So if your budget allows, you can still enjoy some spectacular entertainment from your choice of Covid Secure Wedding Supplier.
Magicians are solo performers who entertain and amaze! Jester Styles has been a firm favourite with our couples for some time; he's embraced the current restrictions, his new material is Covid Secure but no less spectacular!
Your DJ will be delighted for the opportunity to attend your wedding and our Handpicked DJ, Lee from Wedding Sounds has upped his game and is offering his services as evening compare and quiz master. He's working with couples right now, putting together 'Name That Tune' games with epic tunes across the decades that involve the whole family.
You'll find indoor fireworks suppliers and acoustic guitarists, caricaturists and light show providers, as well as lots more, all who can add fun and flare to your big day without taking up too many guest slots. Before you know it, you'll be wondering how to fit everything in!
Change the Mood
Our overnight accommodation is available for you and your wedding guests. With everyone staying the night you can suggest that after the meal guests might like to freshen up in the their rooms before returning to their tables for some evening refreshments.
One of our couples is adding a pinch of pizzazz to their evening by asking guests to bring one comedy 'prop' with them to the wedding and return to their tables wearing these props. This is a super simple and fun alternative to a photo booth and will let guests know they're in for an evening of fun and frivolity.
They're following this up with some unforgettable table games, we've heard about, 'Guess Who' with real wedding guests instead of picture cards, Bridal Bingo, the classic Mr & Mrs quiz game, the 'Generation Game' where each table competes against each other in anything from cocktail making, cookie decorating or balloon modelling!
With Halloween coming up, you could get everyone designing the best pumpkin!
If you would prefer not to fill your evening with entertainment then another wonderful option is to simply enjoy your evening connecting with your loved ones. This is something that one of our beautiful brides recently experienced at The Mill Barns.
Siân was initially reluctant to have a smaller ceremony and reception, concerned about how she would fill the evening but here's what she had to say after her recent wedding:
"We had the best day! From beginning to end it was perfect... in spite of Covid. Our wedding wasn’t as planned and due to the current circumstances we were restricted to 30 guests. What we found though was that our day was so personal and we had time to spend with each of our guests individually.
Our one area of concern was the evening, we decided to think outside the box and have a quiz which worked really well and got our guests interacting with each other.
We'd say if you want to go ahead with your wedding do so! All it takes is a little bit of thinking outside the box!" - Siân & Paul, Married 2nd September 2020.

What about a game of 'Family Fortunes' with wedding themed questions?
Why not host a Murder Mystery evening or place classic board games on your tables or a version of ‘Play Your Cards Right’ to really raise the stakes and get everyone involved. One of our couples is using Monopoly money to run a 'Race Night' where they're showing footage of a historic horse race and getting their guests to place their bets!
Get creative and you can make the day unique and exciting for you and your guests.
Movie Night can be a big hit using a projector, perhaps a run through of a musical classic such as Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia or Grease, with a lip sync battle incorporated for the big fans!
